SeMA and Palais de Tokyo's Urban Legends event on My Guide Seoul. Until May 29th, The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) and Paris's Palais de Tokyo have come together to present 'Urban Legends' on the occasion of 130 year of Korean-French diplomatic ties. 'Urban Legends' is a result of a cooperation between SeMA and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, it is located at the main SeMA branch in Seosomun, on the 3rd floor. The participating artists are Kim Ayoung, Lou Lim, Alexis Guillier, Ange Leccia, Hoël Duret, Ollie Palmer, and Jean-Alain Corre. These artists from different backgrounds explore and cross boundaries of gender, nationality, and culture. Their creative and imaginative initiatives are based on experiences in both Seoul and Paris. The title of this exhibition is a nod to fact that their experiences took place in an urban setting. The works on display are products of the disconnect, new interpretations, and misunderstandings that arise as a result of living in a new environment. Visitors to “Urban Legends” can look forward to seeing new takes on familiar realities.
