Description
Meet at Gyeongbokgung Station and take a short bus ride up to Buam-dong, a hillside neighborhood most visitors never see.
Your host walks you through the Choi Gyu-sik Memorial Statue, tied to North Korea's 1968 Blue House Raid, then on to Cheongun Literature Library, Seoul's first Hanok library. From there it's a climb up the Hill of Poet Yoon Dong-ju, where the poet once lived, with views across Bugaksan, Inwangsan, and Bukhansan once you reach the top.
The route passes a stretch of the Seoul City Wall and Changuimun Gate before reaching a hidden filming location from the Oscar-winning Parasite. The walk ends at Mugyewon, once the villa of Grand Prince Anpyeong, a quiet Hanok space to sit before heading back down.
