Description
Begin your experience inside the National Museum of Korea, one of the most important cultural institutions in the country. Rather than trying to see everything in this enormous museum, your guide will introduce you to a carefully selected collection of approximately ten meaningful Korean artifacts.
The goal is not simply to memorize names and dates, but to understand the ideas and emotions behind Korean art. Discover concepts such as balance, simplicity, empty space, gentle lines, and quiet emotion while viewing some of Korea’s most significant works, including the famous Pensive Bodhisattva.
After exploring the museum, the experience shifts from observation to creation. Take part in a hands-on Hangeul calligraphy workshop using a Korean brush pen. Choose something personally meaningful to write: your own Korean name, the name of a family member or friend, your favorite K-pop artist, a song title, a short lyric, or a Korean phrase you discovered during your trip.
With your guide’s help, transform those Korean characters into your own calligraphy artwork. Your finished piece can become a bookmark or art postcard that you can take home — a personal souvenir created by you rather than something purchased from a shop.
