Description

Meet your English-speaking history guide at Jongno 3-ga Station, Exit 7, and begin your journey into the history of Korea’s Joseon Dynasty. If you choose to wear a Hanbok, your guide will first take you to our recommended partner Hanbok rental shop near Changdeokgung Palace. You can select your preferred style before the tour begins. Hanbok rental is completely optional and the rental fee is paid separately at the shop. Guests who prefer not to wear Hanbok can simply join the tour in their own clothing. Once everyone is ready, walk together to Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most historically significant royal palaces in Seoul. Rather than simply walking around the palace and looking at its architecture, this tour focuses on helping you understand the people, events, and ideas that shaped the Joseon Dynasty. Your guide will introduce Korean history through engaging storytelling, historical context, and interactive conversation, and you are welcome to ask questions throughout the experience. Explore important areas of Changdeokgung, including Injeongjeon, the main throne hall where major royal ceremonies and state events took place. Continue to Seonjeongjeon, where kings conducted everyday government affairs, and discover other parts of the palace while learning how the royal family lived and how political and social life functioned inside the palace. Along the way, enjoy casual travel photography at selected locations throughout the palace. This is not a formal professional photoshoot. Instead, natural snapshots and group photos are taken during the experience so you can focus on enjoying the history while still bringing home memorable images of your visit. Basic color editing and digital photo delivery are included. The guided experience finishes inside the Changdeokgung Palace area after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on whether participants choose the optional Hanbok experience. After the tour, you are free to continue exploring the surrounding Jongno and Insadong areas at your own pace. Whether this is your first introduction to Korean history or you already know something about the Joseon Dynasty, this experience is designed to help you see Changdeokgung as more than a beautiful palace—by understanding the stories, people, and culture behind it.

• Hanbok rental is completely optional and is not included in the tour price. Guests who choose Hanbok will pay the rental fee separately at the partner shop.
• This is a walking tour inside Changdeokgung Palace. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
• Casual snapshots and group photos are included during the tour. Please note that this is not a dedicated professional photoshoot.
• The experience lasts approximately 2.5–3 hours. The duration may vary depending on whether participants choose the optional Hanbok experience.
• The tour takes place primarily outdoors and normally operates in different weather conditions. Please check the forecast and bring an umbrella, sun protection, or warm clothing when appropriate.
• Basic color editing of the photos is included, and the edited photos will be delivered digitally after the tour.
