3.1 Phillip Lim

Located in the affluent Cheongdam-dong, the breezy, effortlessly chic designs of American fashion sensation Phillip Lim have been given an appropriately stylish home in this fancy Seoul flagship store.

Designed by New York based Leong Leong Architecture in just eight months. Leong Leong designed and supervised construction of a 5,850-square-foot store in an existing four-story building and the entire project was completed in 2009.

Featuring an ivory concrete facade that's echoed by foam cone-covered interiors, the effect is snug and cocoon-like, with clothing displayed in distinct enclaves based on the same clean, minimaltistic lines, dubdued colors as the garments they contain.

The four-storey boutique stocks a reasonably complete range of Lim's ready-to-wear outfits for women and men, from light pullovers and dresses to quasi-formal jackets, as well as shoes, handbags and jewellry.
