ホジュン博物館は、2005年3月23日に開館しました。これは、朝鮮時代中頃の著名な医学者である許浚の学術的業績と慈善活動を讃えるものです。 ホジュン博物館がゲヤンドンに位置している理由は、この偉大な医者が、博物館の隣に位置するホガバウィで東医宝鑑（伝統的な韓国医学の基本テキストとされる）を完成させたからです。
博物館には、ホジュン記念館、2階分のヌイウォン（朝鮮時代の官立医療施設）、東洋医学クリニックから構成されています。 屋上には、ホガバウォンに記載されている謎の植物があるハーブ医学公園に続くスカイガーデンがあります。
