Intimate, quiet, specialized – That’s OLDE KNIVES in a nutshell. OLDE KNIVES is a steak bar located in Hae bang chon area. ‘Steak bar’ is a particularly accurate description for this establishment as they serve only 2 meals: Juicy, A-grade, perfectly prepared steak that will have you drooling like a pup over a bone, and an exquisitely prepared pasta. The restaurant is literally a bar, just a tiny hole in the wall, with only two tables, so most customers sit at the bar. This is actually pretty neat as you have a first class view of your food and drinks being prepared.

Ah yes the drinks - this place is rather classy and they place great emphasis on providing the very best service. Therefore, not only is the steak grilled to perfection but your cocktail is crafted with the same amount of detail as Michelangelo put into the statue of David. Moscow mules, Old fashions and Martinis, to name bu a few.  If you want to opt for a wine pairing, you will most definitely not be disappointed, as OLDE KNIVES offers an extensive selection of terrific wines. Last but not least, whiskey, OLDE KNIVES is a whiskey bar that offers a phenomenal range of top class whiskeys.

As mentioned this place is small, it barely holds ten patrons so make sure you arrive early or be prepared to wait. Even if you have to wait, OLDE KNIVES is guaranteed to be worth it. OLDE KNIVES is an affordable fine dining experience that leaves absolutely nothing to be desired.
OLDE KNIVES is very easy to find in the very funky HBC area, right on the main street across from the bhan mi Vietnamese place. Open Tuesday to Thursday 6pm – 1am and Friday, Saturday from 5pm.
