This is a classy Japanese-style puffer fish (fugu) restaurant, and its signature dish is made by boiling puffer fish with various types of mushrooms and Korean cabbage. You can also try various other puffer fish dishes. This restaurant has been in business since 1966! The puffer fish stew is priced at 22,000KRW and the puffer fish set menu is priced at 35,000KRW. The reason why the puffer fish is priced a little higher than other fish stews and set menus is because a special license is required in order to properly prepare the fish. Puffer fish is an infamous restaurant dish typically popular with foodies who want to tick off this dish on their bucket list. Eating 'fugu' puffer fish is widely viewed as the mealtime equivalent of Russian roulette. The expensive delicacy contains a concentration of poison in its liver or ovaries that is lethal when not prepared properly. We have tried puffer fish at various Seoul restaurants and it really is a special experience.
