Big Guy's Lobster is importing their lobsters from Maine in USA and the restaurant is part of AK Group which also manages the popular luxury buffet
Viking's Wharf.
The collaboration between AK Group, the largest lobster distributor in Korea, and Tom Adams, the best lobster fisher in Maine, USA, enables Big Guy's Lobster to offer lobster dishes at a reasonable price, leading to the creation of this casual lobster bar.
They go through a lot of lobster daily. And unlike the never ending option of premium seafood at Viking's Wharf, the concept at Big Guy's Lobster is simple and delicious! Two things are sold. A lobster roll with fries and clam chowder, or a whole grilled lobster cut in half with grilled clams. Both menu items are priced at 25US$ and a corresponding KRW echange rate meaning you can pay either in US dollars or Korean won.
We tried both and although the lobster roll sandwich is great, the best deal is the grilled lobster. There is simply more lobster meat on the grilled lobster and it is more fun to eat and in the end it tastes better too. Wash it down with their lobster ale and your meal is complete.
If you want fries with your grilled lobster you can order on the side of course and you can also order clam chowder on the side.
The restaurant is not as big as we thought, 30 seats, but it is welcoming and the menu is easy to navigate. Order your lobster sit down or walk over and look at the lobster tanks with love lobsters in them and take a few pics and then wait for your grilled lobster to come out. There are plastic gloves over by the water pitcher and glasses. We recommend using the gloves. It makes it easier and more enjoyable.
The2 restaurants are located conveniently by Samsung station COEX and at Lotte World Tower shopping mall.
